On Tuesday 19th May we were delighted to host our St Michael’s Scholars alongside our Year 8 pupils holding scholarships to their future senior schools at our annual Scholars’ Dinner. With a fitting sense of formality and occasion, the evening brought together pupils to celebrate academic ambition and curiosity.
We were honoured to welcome our guest speaker, Anna Eerdmans, who delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking talk. Anna shared three key life lessons which resonated strongly with our pupils: expand your horizons, embrace the rule of reciprocity, and discover your ‘ikigai’—your sense of purpose.

Anna's reflections encouraged pupils to be courageous, to seize opportunities and to think carefully about what they hope to achieve in life. It was a thoroughly engaging and uplifting evening, leaving all in attendance with much to reflect upon.
