Years 7 and 8

We pride ourselves on offering a unique Years 7 and 8 experience at St Michael’s Prep. 

We combine the familiarity of our staff and surroundings with opportunities to increase confidence and self-awareness, encouraging our senior pupils to set a positive example for our younger children.

Years 7 and 8 pupils can take on leadership roles, helping to prepare them for senior school life. They enjoy a number of residential trips which build teamwork skills and friendships that will last a lifetime.

The opportunity for pupils to flourish academically is naturally a priority, although we adapt our curriculum to suit the needs of pupils of all abilities, including preparations for scholarships and participation in a variety of subjects including Sport, Music, Art and Drama. We celebrate the pupils’ many talents and successes with them as well as offering advice and guidance to parents and pupils about the senior schools which would best suit them.

We welcome children from other schools to St Michael’s Prep during Years 7 and 8.
