St Michael’s School of Sport is a paid programme offering after school co-curricular sports activities. These sessions are led by an experienced coach possessing a minimum level 2 sports specific qualification.
The primary focus is to provide StMichael’s Prep pupils with the opportunity todevelop their techniques, skills and game play in a safe and fun environment. Our activities encourage the children to explore sports and activities without the fear of failure; fostering agenuine passion for physical activities in them. St Michael’s School of Sport has been in operation since 2021 with both St Michael’s teachers and external coaches leading the after-school sessions. Limited slots are available for these sessions, ensuring that high-quality expert instruction is maintained and that pupils have plenty of opportunities for purposeful practice.
The School of Sport schedule aligns with the curriculum and some sessions run throughout the school year.
The sports covered include Hockey, Football, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis and Gymnastics. Moreover, we have established strong connections with local clubs such as HC Knole Park (Hockey), Sevenoaks Rugby Club, Chipstead FC, Lightning Gymnastics and Love-sport Tennis Club. We are always looking to grow the variety of sports provided by our School of Sport, so the pupils find a sport they love.
