We were delighted to learn the wonderful news that Clara (Head Girl and Year 8 Music Scholar) has recently secured a place to study oboe and singing at Junior Guildhall. This is a significant and highly competitive achievement, reflecting both Clara’s exceptional musical ability and the dedication she has shown to her musical development.
In addition, Clara has also successfully attained a Music Scholarship to Sevenoaks School, commencing in Year 9, further underlining her talent and the strength of her musical promise.
Junior Guildhall offers an outstanding environment for young musicians, combining rigorous musical training with a broad and inspiring educational experience. Clara’s success is a real testament to her talent, commitment and potential and we are immensely proud of this achievement.
We look forward to seeing how this next stage of specialist training will support and enrich Clara’s musical journey and wish her every success.
Clara said: “Gaining a place in the Junior Guildhall is my biggest musical achievement to date. I entered the audition thinking of it as a practice for Music Scholarship applications, as I never thought I would actually gain a place, so was amazed and really proud when I found out I had been selected. I can’t wait to get started and receive some of the best musical tuition in the world. I am particularly excited to perform as part of orchestras with multiple oboes for the first time.”
