Thanks to the ideas and efforts of the Pupil Wellbeing Committee, Friday 12th September saw pupils and staff participate in St Michael’s first ever Wellbeing Day. The committee had previously held numerous meetings to work through logistics and ideas, design posters and create a video advertisement for the day which they featured in.
The children spent the day with their school house, creating their very own t-shirt design, enjoying a nature walk around the school grounds, relaxing with reading and writing activities, making arts & crafts, and performing Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars in Makaton sign language in a whole school performance.
It was fantastic to see everyone embrace the spirit of the day and to view a range of year groups working and playing together, with older children leading and supporting the younger children and staff assisting with the activities and houses throughout the day.
