As part of their exploration into the Mediums of Drama this term, Year 4 pupils were treated to a workshop session from industry expert Kate Griffiths, who has worked extensively in the film, theatre and TV industry as a make-up artist. Kate also trains students in Schools, Colleges and Universities in the South of England.
This was a hands-on workshop where the children got to produce ‘trauma’ make-up on themselves, creating a realistic cut to the arm, complete with congealed blood made from a mixture of fake blood and Weetabix! Year 4 had a lot of fun, including shocking their Form Teachers with some ultra-realistic injuries!
