A rainbow of colour filled the sky at St Michael's Prep School on Thursday 20th June as Year 5 pupils took part in the Hindu festival of Holi as part of their Religious Studies learning.

Beginning the event with a water fight, the children were then given paint powder to cover each other in, completing the session covered head to head in colour.

Commenting on the event, Mrs MacRae, Religious Studies Teacher said: "The children have learnt what is involved in the two day festival and why it is celebrated, as well as exploring two famous Hindu stories that are closely connected with the traditional celebrations. Holi also gave us (children and teachers!) a great excuse to get very messy and have a lot of fun."
