Year 1 had a swashbuckling day of adventure on Thursday 13th February as part of their Pirate Day.

Linking to their topic of pirates, the children spent the day in vibrant outfits as they completed an inspiring programme of activities.

Joining St Michael's for the event was Gem from CBeebies’ Swashbuckle who treated the children to a show filled with pirate songs and games as well as joining the children in their challenges throughout the day.

In the afternoon, the children embarked on a fun-filled treasure hunt followed by opening replies to their letters to pirates which returned as real messages in bottles. The children were thrilled to have their questions answered and eagerly read tales of their pirate adventures.
