St Michael's has been delighted to welcome author and GP Dr. Hannah Weston-Simons to St Michael's as part of our World Book Day and Science Week celebrations this month.

During her visits to Pre-Prep and Prep, Dr. Weston-Simons inspired both St Michael's budding scientists and readers as she combined her knowledge and passion for medicine with the contents of her new poetry book, BLOOD, BONES & BLADDERS: The Poetry of Your Body.

The author's presentations linked perfectly to our Year 6 Science topic of Staying Alive. The children were thoroughly entertained by the Doctor's poetry and fun facts about blood, organs and body parts.

Dr. Weston-Simons was impressed by the pupils' level of knowledge as well as the varied and interesting questions that were asked. Her visit concluded with a book signing.
