Saturday 1st February – Day Taster

Due to enormous demand, King's School Canterbury are opening a new Day House next year (link here) so they are putting on a Taster Day for families interested in their child being a day pupil at King’s in the future. Children will take part in a variety of fun activities, giving them a taste of life at King’s. There are still spaces for this day.

Tuesday 25th February – Experience Day

Following the ISEB Pretests, for pupils currently in Year 6 who are keen to join King’s in Year 9, this is the day they will come to the school to take part in some dynamic team-building activities, do a piece of creative writing and have an interview with a senior member of staff at King’s. This will be an enormously fun day for the children where King's School Canterbury hope to generate excitement about this next step on their academic journey.

Sunday 23rd March – Sport Day

King's School Canterburywill be hosting a Sport Day aimed at prep school pupils who are interested in learning what sport is like in one of the top schools in Kent. Children will have the opportunity to play a number of sports on the day, coached by and involving King’s sport staff and Sixth Form pupils. Open Events

Year 5 is an excellent time to visit Senior Schools, as is Year 4 for those who wish to get ahead, and Lancing College has Open Events this term for Year 9 entry on Saturday 8th February (two sessions; the first starting at 9.00am and the second at 10.00am) and on Saturday 22 March (likewise two sessions).

These Open Mornings are for small groups of families. They offer a tailored opportunity to visit the College and look around with a pupil guide, to hear from the Head Master, key senior staff and some of Lancing College's Prefects; to do a tour and participate in activities; to ask questions and to get further information about admissions details from the Admissions Team. They are deliberately relatively intimate events (no more than 20 families per event) but of course the school can also accommodate individual visits at other times of the week should families wish.
