Personal, Social and Health Education at St Michael’s Prep School gives children the opportunity to explore values, attitudes and beliefs which will aid them throughout their lives.
Knowledge and understanding are developed around a variety of topics, looked at through the life of a child at the school. A large part of this process is developing the skills that will be vital in many facets of life whilst growing up: decision-making, problem solving, effective communication and inter-personal skills. We want our children to stride through each day of their life with a healthy emotional robustness, self-aware and able to manage their feelings.
We encourage our pupils to be reflective, both academically and socially, and use this knowledge to prepare for the future ahead of them.
Topics covered by our Prep PSHE lessons include global awareness, values, respect, relationships, safety, charities, growth mindset, democracy and law, rights and responsibilities and economic awareness.
