The significance of religion in the founding of St Michael’s Prep School can be seen in our Chapel and whole school ethos.
A focus on Christianity is fundamental to our assemblies and Religious Studies lessons which develop a firm knowledge and understanding of the importance of religion in our history and lives today.
Our Religious Studies curriculum encompasses the main world religions and encourages individual pupils to share their own experiences of worshipping a religion other than Christianity. The discussion of topical philosophical ideas and contemporary issues also forms an important component of our curriculum in Years 7 and 8.
Weekly Chapel Services allow children to experience collective worship and our annual Carol Service brings together the traditional Nativity story with an array of musical items.
