Football

Football has a very strong legacy at St Michael’s Prep School and is one of our most popular sports for both boys in the Michaelmas (winter) Term and girls in the Lent (spring) Term.

With over 240 children competing in regular fixtures from Years 3 to 8, football is one of our strongest sports. A total of 16 St Michael’s Prep teams compete in football each year, ensuring every pupil is given an equal opportunity to represent the school in competitive matches and tournaments. We compete annually in the prestigious IAPS and ISFA U11 and U13 tournaments, along with fun Futsal tournaments.

Girls’ football is growing in popularity year on year and we are delighted to see more girls joining our co-curricular football activities. We also have close links with Chipstead FC who run an extensive girls’ football programme.

Our excellent facilities, including seven mini football pitches and one artificial pitch, coupled with our FA qualified coaches ensures that every child has the means to maximise their skills and fulfil their potential in a beautiful environment.
